Dr Amaya Epelde Larrañaga: Lecturer at the Department of Didactics of Musical, Plastic and Physical Expression at the Faculty of Education and Humanities at the Melilla Campus, University of Granada. She graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid and has completed postgraduate studies at the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, and at Mannes College of Music in New York, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in music; she also holds a PhD from the University of Granada. She has been awarded a number of scholarships, including the Scholarship for University Studies in the Soviet Union, and Fulbright scholarship for USA studies. She has also been awarded with the “Newton Swift Accompanying Award, 1993” in New York. Amaya has published widely in national and international journals in the fields of teacher education for Infant and Primary Education and creativity in Musical Education. She has been a speaker at numerous conferences at different Universities and international congresses and seminars. Dr Epelde has been Deputy Rector at the Melilla Campus for three years and the Director of the journal Publicaciones for four years.
